Bra Thief Makes Off With $500 Worth of Bandeaus: Cops
Jewelry reported stolen from a home on Wellington.

THEFT
A complainant in the 1100 block of Buttonwood reported at 1:44 p.m. on Dec. 18 that an offender removed two Christmas cards containing $30 each that were left for the garbage collectors.

BURGLARY
A victim in the 1-100 block of Wellington reported at 6:59 p.m. on Dec. 18 that he returned home and discovered the front door had been forced open. The victim believes that sometime after 11:30 a.m., offenders entered the residence. At the time of the report it appears that jewelry from a jewelry box located in the bedroom had been stolen. The victim found lights on in the house that had not been left on when the victim left the residence.

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE
Paris D. Smith, 45, Chicago was stopped at Dundee Rd. and Laurel at 3:13 a.m. on Dec. 20 and charged with improper lane usage and driving while license suspended. Officers stopped the defendant’s vehicle after observing it commit a traffic violation.
RETAIL THEFT
A complainant in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Rd. on Dec. 19 at 3:51 p.m. reported that she observed a female offender remove several bras from a display shelf and exit the store without paying for them. The merchandise is valued at approximately $500.
