NORTHBROOK, IL (July 6, 2020) – Today, the Schneider for Congress campaign announced a third round of donations, totaling $15,000, to more than two dozen local food banks and community organizations in the Tenth Congressional District. These groups are on the front lines helping our neighbors and our community confront the challenges associated with the Covid-19 pandemic. With these donations, Schneider for Congress has contributed more than $40,000 since April. A full list of recipient organizations is included at the end of this release.

In addition, Schneider for Congress announced that it has matched donations raised from Brad’s personal “Fund Razor” asking for direct support for the Northern Illinois Food Bank in conjunction with shaving his “Covid Beard”.

“With Illinois moving prudently to re-open, many of our neighbors continue to struggle,” said Schneider. “I'm so pleased our campaign could join with community members to raise more than $5,000 for the Northern Illinois Food Bank to support their important work and network of food pantries, soup kitchens, and meal sites. The Covid-19 pandemic is exacerbating the problem of food insecurity across our state, and I am proud our campaign could also complement this fundraising effort with another round of donations to community organizations working to ensure all families access to nutritious food during these difficult times.”
