Bras Stolen From Victoria's Secret in Northbrook: Cops
A Chicago man was arrested while waiting on his alleged phony prescription at Walgreens.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A victim in the 1-100 block Cobblestone reported at 6:09 p.m. on Dec. 15 that she returned home after an extended stay out of state and discovered her home burglarized. The victim reported that the front door to the residence had been forced open damaging the lock and door frame. The residence had been checked a few days prior to the homeowners return by a family friend and the house was secure. The offenders had searched the room in the residence but the homeowner reported that nothing appeared to be missing.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee at the Victoria’s Secret in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road reported discovering two drawers that contained up to 20 bras empty at 7:50 p.m. on Dec. 20. The complainant reported that the drawers had been stocked earlier in the evening and that the theft may have occurred between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. The complainant estimated the value of the merchandise at $1,250.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION of a PRESCRIPTION FORM
Benjamin Smith Jr, 53, Chicago was charged with unlawful possession of a prescription form at 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 21 at the Walgreens in the 1000 block of Waukegan Road. The pharmacist at the store contacted the police after the defendant presented a prescription form which appeared to be fraudulent. The pharmacist contacted the physician whose name appeared on the prescription form to ask if he had written the order for the medication. The physician informed the pharmacist that he had not written the order and that he did not have a patient with the name appearing on the prescription form. Officers located the defendant sitting in the waiting room and placed him under arrest.
RETAIL THEFT
A store employee at the Saks Off 5th in the 100 block of Skokie Highway reported at 10:56 a.m. on Dec. 22 that two offenders entered the business and walked to the women’s section. The offenders grabbed several women’s purses and shoes and then fled from the store into a waiting vehicle. The offenders are described as black men in their twenties, one with blue jeans, dark jacket and having long dreadlock style hair. The second offender was wearing light color jeans and a dark jacket. The stolen merchandise included four Valentino purses valued at $450, a Versace purse valued at $650 and some women’s shoes valued at approximately $200. The offenders fled in a black compact vehicle which was occupied and driven by a third offender. There was no description of the third offender.

ROBBERY/BATTERY
A victim in the 900 block of Skokie Boulevard reported at 10:36 a.m. on Dec. 16 he had driven a relative to a business to pick up her paycheck. The victim reported he waited in his car while the relative ran inside the business. While waiting in the parking lot for his relative to return to the car a Hispanic man opened the driver’s door and asked for money. A second Hispanic man opened his passenger door and struck him. The offenders stole the victim’s cell phone and wallet from his pockets and left in a small black vehicle. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
RETAIL THEFT
Rimants Stonkus, 36, Buffalo Grove was charged with retail theft at 4 p.m. on Dec. 16 at the Saks Off 5th in the 100 block of Skokie Highway. The store loss prevention agent reported that the defendant exited the store failing to pay for $400.42 in merchandise.
