Chanukah Wonderland Returns To Northbrook Court

NORTHBROOK, IL — Four magical days of holiday excitement promise to bring to life the 2,1000-year-old Chanukah story, as Chabad of Northbrook and Chabad Israeli Center announce the second-ever Chanukah Wonderland is coming to Northbrook Court.

Featuring a giant Dreidel moon-bounce, Olive oil making demonstration, Menorah-making work shop, Doughnut decorating, Dreidel Canvas painting, Cool Chanukah slime and much more, Chanukah Wonderland will be open Dec. 10, Dec. 11, Dec. 17 and Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on the lower level of Northbrook Court, four stores down from the Tree House.

There is a $10 per child, all-inclusive entrance fee and the Wonderland will also be open during off hours by appointment for private groups.

“Chabad’s Chanukah programs such as the Chanukah Wonderland help kids feel more connected to their Jewish heritage, which is particularly important during the December holiday season,” said Rabbi Meir Moscowitz regional director of Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois and Rabbi of Chabad of Northbrook, which is sponsoring the event.

“We encourage kids and their families to feel a heightened sense of Jewish pride by making the holiday of Chanukah come alive through the various activities and workshop at Chanukah Wonderland," Moscowitz said.

“Chabad’s holiday awareness programs are completely innovative, taking the lesson out of the classroom," said Chana Teldon, who is coordinating the event along with Feige Slabiticki of Chabad Israeli Center. "It’s positive educational experiences like these that make kids appreciate their Jewish heritage and instills in them a desire to learn more.”

Throughout the state, Chabad will be presenting scores of Chanukah events and celebrations, including public Menorah lightings, Menorah Parades, Latkes parties, Dreidel Houses, and more.
