Chicago Man Tries to Use Phony Prescription at Drug Store: Police

DUI

Tyler A. Hycner, 22, of the 2800 block of North Augusta Drive, Wadsworth, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit and improper lane use after an Aug. 21 traffic stop.

Hycner was pulled over at about 4:02 a.m. in the 2600 block of Willow Road after officers saw him commit several traffic violations. During the stop, officers believed Hycner was under the influence and took him into custody.

He was released on $1,000 bail, and his court date is Sept. 22.

FORGERY

Gregory D. Vavrin, 44, of the 2800 block of West 24th Boulevard, Chicago, was arrested and charged with unauthorized possession of a prescription form, a felony, after an Aug. 21 incident.

A pharmacist at the CVS Pharmacy in the 900 block of Willow Road contacted police after Vavrin tried to use a phony prescription to get medication, according to the report. Before calling police, the pharmacist called the doctor identified on the prescription form, and the doctor said he hadn't written the prescription and that Vavrin wasn't his patient.

DUI

Gina T. Dalessandro, 42, of Mint Hill, NC, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit, driving without insurance and failure to yield at an intersection after an Aug. 22 accident.

Police responded to an accident at about 5:49 p.m. at the intersection of Cedar Lane and Walters Avenue. During the crash investigation, officers determined Dalessandro was under the influence, and she was taken into custody.

Dalessandro was released on $3,000 bail, and her court date is Sept. 1.
