Chicago Woman Used Elderly Man's Information to Buy $25K Rolex: Police

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Kelly C. Mitchell, 23, Chicago was charged with theft by deception on March 5 in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Rd. after an investigation. The defendant allegedly accompanied an elderly victim to a jewelry store to make purchases using the victim’s information without his permission. Northbrook police obtained charges for the purchase of a Rolex Watch at a Mall jewelry store for approximately $25,000.

The defendant was processed and is currently held in at a CPD facility awaiting bond court on additional charges.
