Child Porn Charges For Northbrook Man

Police: A 38-year-old Northbrook resident faces four felony counts in connection with an investigation into online crimes against children.

NORTHBROOK, IL — A Northbrook man was arrested Tuesday in connection with an investigation into child pornography, police said. Eric Demone Slaughter, 38, of the 1100 block of Longmeadow Road was arrested Aug. 1 at 8:20 a.m. in the block of his residence. He was charged with four felony counts of child pornography as part of a investigation partnering with Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which began in early June, according to police.

Northbrook police said Slaughter was taken into custody following a search warrant executed at his home. He was charged with two counts of dissemination of child pornography (one of which was class X and the other of which was class 1) and two counts of possession of child pornography (one of which was class 2 and the other of which was class 3.)

Police said two online tips were received that led to parallel investigations. Those investigations rapidly converged and resulted in this week's arrest, according to Northbrook Police Deputy Chief Scott Dunham.
