Yasemin Can, of Northbrook, was named to the University of Alabama Presidents List for spring 2020. A total of 16,470 students enrolled during the 2020 spring term at UA were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

D'Orazi graduates from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
Chiara D'Orazi, from Northbrook, earned a degree on May 16. D'Orazi graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in general management. More than 1,700 students received degrees this May, including 1,685 from the Whitewater campus and 95 from the Rock County campus.

Area students named to Carthage College's Spring 2020 Dean's List
More than 1,100 students have been named to the Carthage College dean's list for the spring 2020 semester. Dean's list honors are accorded to Carthage students who achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average while carrying at least 14 credit hours during a semester.

Dischinger honored with department award at Wheton College
David Dischinger, of Northbrook, was honored with the Wheaton Center for Early Christian Studies Certificate. This honor was announced by the Biblical and Theological Studies Department at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation ceremony.

German graduates from Emerson College
On May 10, Emerson College awarded 959 undergraduate degrees for the Class of 2020. The College is committed to holding a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020 in person when it is safe to do so, at a to be determined date.
Darina German, of Northbrook, graduated in December 2019 and received a BFA degree in Media Arts Production.
