Belmont University Announces Fall 2020 Dean's List

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Fall 2020 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

DeMaio Selected as Docent for Hamilton College's Wellin Museum of Art

Hamilton College's Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art joins traditional object-based learning with advances in interdisciplinary approaches. Student docents are integral to the work of the museum and are involved in many aspects of its operation including leading tours, working with faculty to provide interdisciplinary gallery programs to support teaching and learning, and working on various museum projects. This year, they are working remotely whenever possible.

Julia DeMaio, of Northbrook (60062), has been selected as a 3D design assistant this semester.

Docents attend training to learn about the museum, exhibitions, collections, and professional expectations and procedures. Working as a museum docent also gives students an opportunity to strengthen professional skills such as public speaking, teamwork, conducting research, event management, and creative brainstorming.

DeMaio is a senior majoring in art history.
