ComEd Replacing Utility Poles In Northbrook

There will be lane closures and traffic control on Walters Avenue between Hillside and Waukegan Roads, according to the Village.

On Wednesday 12/14, Thursday 12/15, and Monday 12/19/2022, ComEd contractor crews will be replacing several utility poles within the area shown below. There will be trucks and equipment in the area on the above dates and every attempt will be made to accommodate residents’ movement however residents should expect delays. There will be lane closures and traffic control on Walters Avenue between Hillside and Waukegan Roads. Every effort will be made to minimize noise throughout the day. Work area signs will be posted, and appropriate traffic and no-parking signs (if necessary) will be in place 48 hours prior to start of work. This work will not create power outages during this period.

ComEd understands that noise may pose an inconvenience to customers, but this work is necessary as part of ComEd's ongoing efforts to modernize the electric system by building a more reliable system. In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled.

ComEd expects this work to cause minimal disruption to any customer property. In the unlikely event that ComEd does cause damage, ComEd will return once the work has been completed and restore any damaged landscaping to its previous condition.
