Compher, who grew up in Northbrook, played for the Northbrook Bluehawks and then for Team Illinois, prior to leaving for the US National Development Team. Through this event, organizers said Compher is excited to give back to the community and encourages people to pay it forward by supporting Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook in their belief that “every child should grow up happy, healthy and with hope.”
Donations for photos with Compher and the Stanley Cup are encouraged and can be completed via Venmo (@youthservices), online at ysgn.org, or via cash or check at the July 15 event.
