Counterfeit $20 Bill Found at Northbrook Business: Cops

Pink dress valued at nearly $2,500 stolen from another business.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

THEFT

The complainant, an employee of the store in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Rd., reported at 4:05 p.m. on April 23 four customer computers that had been sent out of state for repair were stolen. It is believed that an offender, using the tracking numbers corresponding to the computers changed the orders on the computers being delivered. The computers were to be delivered to the store but the offender changed the order and reported that the customer would pick up the computers. The loss in merchandise is $8,000.

THEFT

The complainant, a loss prevention agen in the 1400 block of Lake Cook Rd.t, reported that after the store conducted an inventory audit at 3:20 p.m. on April 24 they discovered a woman’s pink and teal dress was missing. There is no offender information and the cost of the dress is $2,495.

COUNTERFEITING

The complainant in the 200 block of Skokie Highway discovered a counterfeit twenty dollar bill in the business receipts on April 25. The complainant believes that it was accepted sometime during the afternoon or evening hours. Secret Service contacted regarding the discovery of the bill.

THEFT

The victim in the 3500 block of Cornflower reported that two packages delivered to her residence were stolen some time on April 25 or 26. The victim stated she observed the packages by her front door as she left the residence and decided to retrieve them once she returned later in the day. She reported that she gets many deliveries and was unsure what the packages may have contained. The victim will check to determine what should have been delivered and then re-contact the police when she knows what was stolen and the value.

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE

Gregory S. Shearhod, 24, Schaumburg was stopped at Willow Road and Lexington at 9:04 a.m. on April 27 and cited for expired registration, no insurance and suspended driver’s license. .

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE

Ryan S. Rodino, 24, 4520 Concord was stopped at Willow Road and Lexington at 6:53 a.m. on April 28 and cited for driving while license suspended, suspended registration and speeding.

THEFT

A complainant in the 300 block of Southgate reported on April 29 that sometime within the past week an unknown person removed aluminum rails from the driveway/garage area of his residence.

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE

Michael T. Casserly, 32, 810 Fair Ln. was stopped at Maple Ave. and Waukegan Rd. at 8:42 a.m. on April 30 and cited for no valid registration and driving while license suspended.
