Crowd-Pleaser Party On The Green Returns In Northbrook
The Northbrook Park District event will feature games, food, music and an outdoor movie.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Party on the Green, one of the standout events of the summer for local families, returns later this month. Scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 17, Party on the Green will be held at Village Green Park, 1810 Walters Ave., in downtown Northbrook.
Organizers said attendees can enjoy live music, games, food and beverages, with the showing of an animated movie, "Trolls Band Together," showing at dusk. There will also be giveaways, while The Landmark Inn Bar & Grille will be offering hamburgers, hot dogs, plus a variety of beers, hard seltzers, soda and water for purchase.
The all-ages outdoor event is presented by the Northbrook Park District.

"This is such a fun, free community event for all ages, with entertainment that will please everyone," said Nancy Eschker, recreation manager for the NPD. "Whether you just come for the music or stay until the movie at dusk, you are certain to have a good time."
Two bands are slated to perform: The Wayouts (groovy 60s garage rock hits), and Maggie Speaks (high-energy covers, from old-school classics to modern pop hits).
