Crowne Plaza Sued 2 Years After Woman's Slippery Fall

A woman seeks $50,000 from the hotel parent for medical costs related to the fall.

NORTHBROOK, IL - The Crowne Plaza in Northbrook is at the center of a lawsuit in which a woman claims she slipped and fell on a wet floor while entering the hotel on Milwaukee Avenue two years ago.

Susan Paige, a resident of Cook County, seeks $50,000 plus legal costs from Bays Northbrook Hospitality Corp., Crowne Plaza’s parent according to the Cook County Record.

The negligence lawsuit was filed on Feb. 1, exactly two years to the day Paige allegedly slipped on a wet floor near an entrance she says should have been dried by Crowne Plaza employees. The incident caused serious injuries resulting in ongoing treatment and medical expenses.
