'Cubs Goose' Statue, Mailboxes Damaged: Northbrook Crimes
Northbrook Police Reports: Aug. 18 - Aug. 24

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and a list of those arrested. Criminal charges are often dropped or reduced and represent merely accusations by the state. An arrest is not an indicator of guilt, and all persons named are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On Aug. 17 at 11:13 p.m., a resident of the 1300 block of 1st Street reported that someone damaged a goose statute that was decorated in Chicago Cubs attire.

THEFT
A patron in the 200 block of Skokie Boulevard reported her brother's wallet and clothes were taken from his room on Aug. 12.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Two residents of the 2400 block of Asbury Road reported that someone had damaged a mailbox during the overnight hours of Aug. 19-20.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident of the 600 block of Dauphine Court told police someone had damaged their mailbox during the overnight hours of Aug. 18-19.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE
A resident in the 2300 block of Wood Drive reported that sometime between Aug. 7 and Aug. 19 someone had removed the bolts and front license plate from a vehicle.
ARRESTS
DUI
Jens J. Jensen, 61, of the 200 block of Linden Road, was arrested at 9:43 p.m. on Aug. 21 near the intersection of Waukegan and Dundee roads and charged with driving under the influence after being stopped for traffic violations. Jensen was issued citations for speeding and squealing tires. He was released on bond with an Aug. 31 court date.
SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 22-year-old Zion man was arrested on Aug. 23 at 6:46 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license after police witnessed a vehicle committing a traffic violation and pulled it over near the intersection of Dundee and Shermer roads. The man was also cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
DUI
Dawid Zarebczan, 24, of the 10500 block of South 81st Street in Palos Hills, was arrested on Aug. 24 at 1:19 a.m. near the intersection of Pfingsten Road and Maria Avenue and charged with driving under the influence after being pulled over for a traffic violation. He was also cited for improper lane usage.
