Cyber Security Experts, Business Award Winners to be Featured at Northbrook Chamber Annual Meeting and Dinner
Business awards to follow address on cyber security.

Two high level specialists with the Chicago office of Ernst and Young LLP, one of the world’s largest professional advisory services firms, will give the keynote address Cyber Security: Not Just an IT Issue at the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce upcoming Annual Meeting and Dinner on Tuesday, March 9th at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel.
With daily reports of cyber attacks at all levels of business, government agencies and even the military, cyber security is now regarded as a top concern of the business community Jason Lipschultz, and David Shade, both Senior Advisors who help clients manage business risks related to information technology, will address what every business needs to know, and what questions every business of any size should be asking themselves to help them manage their risk exposure. They will also explain the “cyber ecosystem” approach to help collectively reduce cyber threats.
In addition, the Chamber will present the annual Business Awards recognizing excellence in the Northbrook business community. For promoting a spirit of giving and community involvement, Northbrook Court will be honored as Corporate Citizen of the Year. Northbrook’s largest retail shopping center regularly helps numerous local non-profit organizations including Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook, Glenbrook North High School, and the Chicago Botanic Gardens. In addition, North brook Court management employees volunteer at community agencies as well as serve on local boards and commissions.
For demonstrating considerable growth and outstanding customer service, Countryside Montessori School will receive the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year award. Founded in 1967, the school has experienced steady, growing enrollment over the last 48 years and recently added an addition to accommodate middle schoolers.
For his generous support of the organization, Bob Caldwell, NorthShore SeniorCare has been selected as the Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year. Bob serves on numerous Chamber committees where he assists with welcoming new members and with major events.
Presented by Whitehall of Deerfield, the event will begin with a reception at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. Tickets for the event are $80 for individuals and $575 for a table of eight.
