Driver Accuses Northbrook of Poorly Maintained Traffic Lights That Caused Crash: Lawsuit
The woman sues the village and another driver over a June accident that injured her.

A woman who was injured in a June car accident is suing the Village of Northbrook, accusing the municipality of failing to keep its traffic lights working properly, the Cook County Record reports.
The lawsuit, which was filed by Corina G. Buenaventura was filed June 20 in Cook County Circuit Court, also names another driver, Victoria J. Abrams, in it, claiming she failed to apply her brakes in a timely manner, the report stated.
In the suit, Buenaventura says she suffered a closed head injury, cerebral concussion and other injuries after a June 10 collision, according to the Record. She's seeking more than $50,000 in damages, the report added.
