Dude Dressed Like a Lady Accused in Northbrook Armed Robbery: Cops
Christoper Hornezes also is wanted by Cook and Lake County authorities in connection with a series of armed robberies last week.

A man in a wig and women's clothing is wanted in a series of Lake and Cook County armed robberies is accused of robbing a Northbrook sub shop Friday, police said.
Christopher Hornezes, 27, also is being sought by police in connection with armed robberies last week in Lincolnshire, Gurnee and Waukegan, according to a Gurnee police press release.

Police claim Hornezes used a knife to rob a Subway restaurant near Lake Cook Road and Skokie Boulevard at 8:50 p.m. Friday, April 8. He was reported to be wearing a long wig, yoga pants, a skirt, striped top and white athletic shoes, police said.
Earlier Friday, Hornezes is accused of robbing a business in Gurnee while wearing a brown wig with a pony tail, police said.

The latest robbery happened at about 5:40 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Shell/Circle K station on Milwaukee Avenue and Aptakisic Road in Lincolnshire. Police claim Hornezes, armed with a knife, jumped the counter at the gas station while the cash register drawer was open. In this incident, Hornezes is reported to be wearing the same ensemble he wore in the Northbrook robbery, police said.
Hornezes also is accused of a stealing a car Thursday in Waukegan, according to Gurnee police.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Hornezes, the release stated. Police believe he is still driving the car he stole Thursday, a 2004 Hyundai Elentra with the license plate A552071. Hornezes is described as 5-feet-6 tall and weighs 200 pounds.
