Dundee Road Business Robbed at Gunpoint

Police say man was ordered to open safe by unknown offender in late-night Wednesday incident.

An employee of a business in the 3000 block of Dundee Road in Northbrook was robbed at gunpoint as he was closing the store shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a police report.

The offender, who was described as a male in his 40’s, approached the victim with a handgun and forced him back into the business as he was exiting. He was then made to open the safe before the offender stole currency and the victim’s cell phone.

“The offender ordered the victim into the bathroom and to wait ten minutes before leaving,” the report reads.
