Early Bird Discounts On Pool Passes Available In Northbrook

The Meadowhill Aquatics Center opens May 25, while the Northbrook Sports Center pool will start operating two weeks after that.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Most public pools are still a few weeks away from opening, but Northbrook residents have a chance to save money on pool passes with early bird discounts available through May 1. According to the Northbrook Park District, the Meadowhill Aquatics Center, 1501 Maple Ave., opens May 25 and will operate through Aug. 11. The Northbrook Sports Center pool, 1730 Pfingsten Road, will be open June 8 through Sept. 2.

"I am thrilled to dive into the excitement of running the Northbrook pools this summer," said Bridgette Sterba, aquatics recreation supervisor. "Our aquatics staff members, including our fully trained lifeguards, are excellent at what they do, and I am excited to spend another season with them."

According to Sterba, the two pools provide recreation choices for swimmers of all levels and abilities, "whether you want to relax in the water or are looking for a vigorous lap workout."

MAC offers a large sundeck and four separate outdoor pools: a lap pool, a children's water playground, a diving area with three boards, and a pool with tube and body slides.

The Sports Center pool features a 25-yard pool with six lanes, a leisure pool, a vortex pool, zero-depth entry, two diving boards, a deep-water diving pool with a drop slide and a climbing wall.

Summer outdoor pool passes allow unlimited admission to MAC and the Sports Center pool, according to NPD.

Enjoy early bird savings by purchasing 2024 season pool passes by May 1. Here is a cost breakdown:

  • Ages 2 to 26 — $149 for residents, $189 for non-residents
  • Ages 65 and up — $109 for residents, $139 for non-residents
  • Family of 2 — $205 for residents, $259 for non-residents

Prices to all passes go up $10 if purchased after May 1.

Daily pool fees for individuals ages 2 to 64 are $11 for residents and $13 for nonresidents. For seniors ages 65 and up, $9 for residents and $11 for nonresidents; and for the children's play area, $5 for residents and $6 for nonresidents.
