Employee Charged With Theft After Not Charging For Shoes: Cops
Door to Starter Shack at golf course damaged.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
THEFT
Luis A. Herrera-Morales, 22, Waukegan was given a local ordinance citation for retail theft at 8:59 p.m. on May 28 in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road. A complainant reported that an employee had given away merchandise to two customers without charging them for the items. The merchandise, two pair of shoes, cost $179.98. The complainant discovered the thefts while reviewing the defendant’s transactions and viewing the surveillance video.

DRIVING COMPLAINT/WARRANT ARREST
Jennifer A. Kunard, 22, Palatine was taken in on a warrant for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis at 2:16 p.m. on June 1 in the 2700 block Dundee Rd. Officers received a complaint regarding the defendant driving her vehicle with a child unrestrained on her lap. Officers located and stopped the defendant’s vehicle in the 2700 block of Dundee Rd. In checking the defendant’s driver’s license officers learned that the defendant had active warrants from DuPage County.

THEFT
A victim in the 2100 block of Founders Dr. reported at 9:40 p.m. on May 31 that an offender stole $200 from his wallet that it was in his locker.
SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE/WARRANT ARREST
Kelly S. Bell, 50, Grayslake was stopped in the 1700 block of Pfingsten Rd. at 12:54 p.m. on June 1 and charged with driving while license suspended and a BFW-DUI warrant out of McHenry County.
THEFT
The complainant reported at 4:40 p.m. on May 29 that two 10x10 pop up tents and various golf equipment items were stolen from the teaching shed in the 1300 block of Willow Rd.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A complainant at Sportsman’s Country Club reported that offenders had forced open the door to the 10th hole starter shack some time between noon on May 29 and 6 p.m. on June 1. The door appeared to have been kicked open causing about $250 damage.
SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE
Jessica I. Medrano, 20, Prospect Heights was stopped at Sanders Rd. and Ridgeland Ln. at 12:41 p.m. on June 1 and charged with having a suspended driver’s licence in addition to a warning for having no rear registration plate light.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident of the 700 block of Carlyle Ct. called the police to report that he heard an alarm ringing at 1:30 p.m. on June 4. He stated that it had been activated for a few minutes and that he heard what sounded like a vehicle speeding away. Responding officers located the source of the alarm at a residence and observed the front door pried open. Officers checked the interior of the residence but did not locate an offender. The homeowner arrived later and reported that the interior of the residence did not appear to be disturbed.
