Employees at Stores in Northbrook Targeted in Theft Cases
Items have been stolen from employees at Sarpino's Pizza, Roti Grill and Petsmart this week.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
THEFT
A store employee at Roti Grill in the 900 block of Willow Road reported that a large Wolf restaurant cooler was taken from the rear dock, where it was placed to dry after it was cleaned, between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sept. 15.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A complainant in the 2900 block of Maria Drive reported that while working in his office he heard something hit a window and glass shatter at 9:16 a.m. on Sept. 16. In checking, he discovered a small hole in the glass consistent with a bb pellet.

THEFT
A victim at TJ Maxx in the 1-100 block of Skokie Highway reported at 2:50 p.m. on Sept. 16 that she was in the store when a man approached her and asked her opinion about some clothing. At the checkout counter she discovered her wallet missing from her purse. The wallet contained her driver’s license and items of identification along with credit cards. The victim later learned that her credit card was used at a Target store where the offender attempted to make a $1600 purchase.
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
A victim in the Northbrook Court parking lot in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road reported that an offender keyed the rear passenger door of her black 2012 VW Jetta while it was parked in the lot between 9:45 a.m. and 2:13 p.m. on Sept. 17.

THEFT
A store employee at Sarpino’s Pizza in the 1300 block of Meadow Road reported that at 6:38 p.m. on Sept. 17 he left his computer bag and computer on the front counter. When he returned to the counter it was missing. In reviewing the business surveillance video it showed an older male customer removing the bag and walking away. The computer bag contained a Lenovo laptop which was valued at $350.
THEFT
A store employee at Petsmart in the 200 block of Skokie Highway reported that a subject came into the store and asked about the dog salon and how to obtain a gift card at 4:13 p.m. on Sept. 19. The victim reported she went to another area of the store to assist the subject with her request. Upon returning to the training area the victim observed her purse to be sitting differently in her bag on the chair. The victim discovered that three credit cards and approximately $40 were missing from her purse. The victim described the subject as a short heavy set female with her black hair pulled back in braids.
THEFT
A victim reported that her wallet was stolen from her cart while shopping at the Goodwill store in the 4100 block of Dundee Road at 6:55 p.m. on Sept. 21. When she attempted to pay for merchandise at the register she discovered the wallet had been removed from the purse. When the victim called to cancel the credit cards she learned that one of her cards had been used in an attempt to purchase merchandise in Wheeling but the credit company had declined the transaction.
THEFT
The complainant, an owner of a landscaping company, reported that a red and black Echo backpack blower valued at about $500 was taken from his landscaping trailer in the 1500 block of Shagbark at 9:07 a.m. on Sept. 22. A witness reported that the landscapers were working in the rear yard when the two occupants of a blue small sedan stopped behind the trailer. One occupant exited the vehicle and removed the backpack from the trailer. The offenders then drove off southbound on Waukegan Rd.
