The new musical written by music teacher Bill Vaananen is a composite of pop and rock songs performed by the four classes of fifth graders.
Each class will wear a different color t-shirt and will perform four songs, and their original dances and movements to the songs. The music includes 17 songs written by Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Sean Kingston, Bon Jovi, Justin Bieber, Shakira, and more.
The show will begin with the full cast performing Natasha Bedingfield's optimistic song about new beginnings called "Unwritten." The musical runs at 7 p.m. Wednesday and 9:15 a.m.Thursday.
