'Fat' Woman Suspected of Stealing Jewelry

A white woman described as approximately 30-years-old and “fat” is suspected of stealing a Condonia silver bracelet worth just a cent under $800 from a store in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road in Northbrook.

According to police, an employee at the store was assisting three or four customers at one end of the store around 1:45 p.m. on August 20, while the woman was at the other end.

When the employee asked the woman if she needed help, she “did not respond or look up and left the store,” according to a police report.

A short time later, the employee noticed the display case open and the bracelet missing.
