Football Schedules 2021: See Who Glenbrook North Faces This Fall
The fall football schedule for the Spartans is out. Week 1 is set to kick off on Friday, Aug. 27.
NORTHBROOK, IL — All signs are pointing to high school football returning to normal this fall in Illinois. Following a season that was postponed in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and moved to the spring of 2021, the Illinois High School Association, in partnership with Max Preps, recently announced schedules for the varsity teams.
The regular season begins Friday, Aug. 27, with the IHSA state championship games (1A, 2A, 3A and 4A) scheduled for Friday, Nov. 26, at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. For 5A, 6A, 7A and 8A, championship games will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, at Northern Illinois University.
Locally in Northbrook, Glenbrook North kicks things off with a non-conference game at home opening night. Below is the schedule for the varsity squad via Max Preps.

EDITOR'S NOTE: These schedules are not official and may be incomplete at this time as the Illinois High School Association sent media a note stating, "It will likely take another week for us to make enough headway to post the cumulative statewide football schedules on IHSA.org as we traditionally do." The reason for the delay, according to the IHSA, is "due to an overwhelming number of schools with incomplete schedules."
