Glenbrook North alum Pat Misch is attempting to play Major League Baseball for the first time since 2011, participating in a major league camp with the Miami Marlins this spring before being assigned to a minor-league camp for the team. Misch is back after one year away from the game while rehabbing from Tommy John surgery.
The Northbrook Star’s Eric Van Dril recently caught up with Misch, who is thrilled at the chance to return to the big leagues - where he previously pitched for the San Francisco Giants and New York Mets.

“It’s awesome,” Misch says about returning to the game in his interview with Van Dril. “Taking a year off was tough, but it was the best thing for me. I went through a lot. As much as you don’t want to take a year off, I couldn’t be happier to be where I’m at.”
