Glenbrook North Bomb Threat Leads To Man's Arrest

Northbrook man charged with disorderly conduct after making Valentines Day bomb threat that sent GBN into soft lockdown: Police

NORTHBROOK, IL — Police arrested 59-year-old Michael R. Schmidt, of the 1200 block of Sunset Ridge Road in Northbrook Tuesday in connection with an investigation into anonymous caller's Valentines Day bomb threat at Glenbrook North High School, according to Village of Northbrook.

GBN was put on soft lockdown on Feb. 14. Police told administrators to keep students and staff in classrooms as they conducted a search, which determined the grounds to be safe, according to last week's statement from the school.

Schmidt was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
