Glenbrook North LAX Coaches to Work with Park District Teams

Coaches from the Glenbrook North High School lacrosse program have agreed to coach the Northbrook Park District teams this spring.

According to a Northbrook Park District release, they have joined with the Park Districts of Glenview and Highland Park to form the North Suburban Lacrosse Association. The final piece of the puzzle was finding coaching for the Northbrook players.

“This is huge. It means that participants will receive the same level of coaching that they would get if they were on the varsity team,” said John Wilhelm, Leisure Services Supervisor with the Northbrook Park District. “We’ve got the coaches and we’re ready to go. We want people to sign up now!”

The spring league runs from April 7 to June 7.

Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8pm at Techny Prairie Park and Fields. Games are on Sunday afternoons from noon to 4pm in Northbrook, Glenview and Highland Park.
