Glenview Police Arrest Suspected Bank Robber

A Glenview man suspected of robbing the Fifth Third Bank on Waukegan Road on December 5 is now in FBI custody.

David Clark, 33, of the 4400 block of W. Lake Avenue in Glenview, was taken into custody at his residence in Brookview Village without incident by Glenview Police shortly after noon on Tuesday.

“This was a joint investigation with the FBI, as we worked a number of different angles through social media and eye witness accounts,” said Glenview Police Detective Commander Jason Saikin. “The witness accounts had a lot to do with the lead that developed.”

Saikin said Clark submitted a full statement on Tuesday before being held overnight at the Glenview Police Department. He is expected to be formally charged by the FBI on Thursday.
