Person With Gun Made Threat Of Violence: Police

Northbrook police confirmed Wednesday that an investigation into last night's gun-related incident on Holly Court is ongoing.

NORTHBROOK, IL — A dispute at a home on Holly Court brought out dozens of law enforcement agencies Tuesday night after an occupant with a gun made threats of violence, police told Patch. The Northbrook Police Department said Wednesday an investigation is ongoing.

The dispute in the 900 block of Holly Court occurred shortly after 8 p.m. It resulted in one of the involved people, who was in possession of a gun, made threats of violence.

Northbrook police requested the assistance of the Northern Illinois Police Alarm System Emergency Services team. Eventually, according to police, the incident was resolved with no injuries. The person who made the threats was taken into custody without incident and transported to a local hospital.

According to the police scanner and on-scene reports, a person had barricaded themselves inside the home with a gun. Access to Holly Court was cut off by police at around 9:15 p.m.

Other law enforcement agencies that assisted include Deerfield, Glenview, the Cook County Sheriff's Office, Bannockburn, Riverwoods, Skokie, Barrington, Glencoe, Rosemont, Western Springs, McHenry, Crystal Lake and Zion.
