ID Check Leads To Disorderly Conduct Charge: Cops
A Highland Park man was arrested in connection with a residential burglary on Pointe Drive last month.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
BURGLARY
Victor M. Aloush, 46, Highland Park was arrested on a charge of residential burglary in connection with a June 30 incident in the 100 block of Pointe Drive. In that burglary, jewelry, a laptop computer and costume jewelry was stolen from the residence.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
A victim in the 1000 block of Dell Rd. reported that offenders attempted to gain entry to his silver Hyundai by prying at the doors sometime between 1 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on July 10.

RETAIL THEFT
Iryna F. Kalach, 29, Burr Ridge was charged with retail theft at 3:34 p.m. on July 11 in the 1-100 block of Skokie Highway. The defendant was observed placing approximately $80 in merchandise in a handbag as she walked through the store. At the store register she paid for some merchandise but not the items that she had placed in the bag. She then exited the store without paying for the merchandise in the hand bag. The defendant was stopped by store security, placed under arrest and later released at scene.
BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
A victim in the 400 block of Skokie Highway reported that between 5 p.m. on July 10 and 8 a.m. on July 11 offenders entered and removed a Sokkia brand surveying level valued at $1,000 from the victim’s Ford pickup.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Nicholas Charles Jordan, 22, 3085 Pheasant Creek was charged with disorderly conduct at 8 p.m. on July 12 in the 4100 block of Dundee Rd. The store clerk refused an alcohol sale to defendant because the person with the defendant could not produce ID when requested. The store’s policy is to request identification from both customers when one of the customers appears underage. The defendant then spit in the direction of the store clerk and the defendant then fled the store. After leaving the store the defendant overturned a garbage can in the parking lot spilling its contents across the lot. Witnesses in the parking lot supplied responding officers with the description and license plate of the offender’s vehicle. Later officers located the vehicle at the defendant’s residence and the defendant was taken into custody.
SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE
Sameera Z. Muhammad, 31, Chicago was stopped at Dundee Rd. and Oak Leaf Lane at 9:08 p.m. on July 13 and cited for driving while suspended. Officers stopped the defendant’s vehicle when they observed it commit a traffic violation.
RETAIL THEFT
Katrice Y. Warren, 30, Chicago was charged with retail theft at 6:25 p.m. on July 14 in the 1-100 block of Skokie Blvd. The loss prevention agent for the store observed the defendant placing items into her cart. Inside the shopping cart was a bag in which the defendant placed several items of merchandise. At the register the defendant paid for some merchandise but not the merchandise she had placed into her bag. The defendant was stopped by store security after she exited the store without paying for $85 in merchandise.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
A victim in the 1100 block of Church St. reported that his tires were slashed on his pick-up truck sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. on July 15.
THEFT OF MISLAID PROPERTY
A victim in the 1800 block of Walters Ave. reported that on July 15, she discovered her white Iphone 5 was missing from her purse and she believes it fell out while getting her children out of the vehicle. A search by the vehicle of her vehicle and parking area did not locate the phone. When the victim used the Iphone location app, the GPS showed the phone in the area of 65th St. and Lawndale in Chicago.
