LGBTQ+ Pride Month Continues In Northbrook

Happy LGBTQ+ Pride Month!

At the May 24 meeting, the Village Board officially proclaimed June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Northbrook. For the month of June, the Village of Northbrook is proud to fly the progress pride flag at Freedom Park next to Village Hall and on streetlight banners in downtown Northbrook. These flags and banners show support for our LGBTQ+ neighbors and represent the inclusive, welcoming, and diverse community that is Northbrook.

To celebrate, we have compiled a list of local Pride Month programming and resources. Check it out below!

• Youth Services of Glenview Northbrook Pride Banner Decor Party: June 1, 4-5:30pm @ 3080 Lake Avenue, Glenview
• Highwood Pride Fest: June 4, noon @ Downtown Highwood (Highwood Avenue & Green Bay Road)
• Youth Services of Glenview Northbrook Coffee, Donuts, and Group Ride to Buffalo Grove Pride Parade: June 5, 9am @ 3080 Lake Avenue, Glenview
• Buffalo Grove Pride Parade: June 5, 11am @ Checker Drive, Buffalo Grove
• Northbrook Public Library Pride Film Screening: June 8, 7-9pm @ 1201 Cedar Lane, 1st Floor Auditorium
• Northbrook United Methodist Church Kids Pride Party: June 18, 3-6pm @ 1190 Western Ave, on the south lawn
• Chicago Pride Fest: June 18-19, 11am-10pm @ Northalsted (Halsted Street from Addison to Grace Street)
