Man Accused Of DUI, Endangering A Child: Blotter
The Bolingbrook man was also charged with a child's restraint violation, improper lane usage: Northbrook Police Blotter.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
NO DRIVER'S LICENSE
Herve C. Gutierrez, 22, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, is accused of no driver's license, disregard of a traffic device, and was arrested at 10:09 p.m. Sept. 10, at Waukegan and Woodhill Drive. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond and was assigned a court date of Oct. 28.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
- Norman D. Sanchez, 43, of the 0-100 block of Valley Drive, Bolingbrook, is accused of driving under the influence, improper lane usage, obstructing driver's view, child restraint violation, child endangerment, and was arrested at 10:38 p.m. Sept. 12, at Landwehr and Techny Road. He was released after posting a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Oct. 1.
- Paul Richards, 37, of the 1000 block of Whitfield Road, Northbrook, is accused of driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 4:37 p.m. Sept. 15, in Northbrook. He was released after posting a $3,000 bond and assigned a court date of Oct. 7.

INCIDENTS
THREATS
An employee at Optics Planet, 3100 block of Commercial Avenue, reported at 9:43 a.m. Sept. 10, that an out-of-state person left a threatening review for the company. Reporting officer contacted the out-of-state jurisdiction for follow up.
UNWANTED PERSON
An employee at State Representative Jonathan Carroll's office, 3100 block of Dundee Road, called police at 3:14 p.m. Sept. 10, to report a person was upset about the process to renew their driver’s license and began to express their frustration with employees. Officers were called, and the person was cooperative. They left the area without incident.
THEFT
A resident in the 2300 block of Catherine Street reported at 12:59 a.m. Sept. 11, two females were seen removing a sign from their front yard without permission then leaving the area on foot. The sign was located by officers in the area and returned.
RETAIL THEFT
- An employee at Saks OFF 5th, 100 block of Skokie Boulevard, called police at 4:04 p.m. Sept. 11, to report two males removed numerous designer items from the store without paying for them. The males were seen entering a vehicle then leaving the area.
- An employee at Dick's Sporting Goods, 200 block of Skokie Boulevard, reported at 10:19 a.m. Sept. 13, two females were seen taking numerous items from the woman’s clothing section then going to the fitting rooms. The females s are seen a short time later leaving the fitting rooms and the store. An employee in cleaning the rooms located numerous item tags that had been removed from clothing items.
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
- An officer on a routine patrol found fresh graffiti on the gazebo at 7:11 p.m. Sept. 12, at Village Green, 1800 block of Walters Avenue.
- A resident in the 400 block of Huehl Road reported on Sept. 14 someone had defaced a sign.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident in the 800 block of Bach Street reported at 9:20 a.m. Sept. 13, that someone entered their vacant residence by breaking a door, then proceeded to use spray paint on various walls within the residence.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
A resident in the 1100 block of Brent Road called police at 10:37 a.m. Sept. 14, to report someone has done damage to their vehicle several times over the last several weeks.
CUSTOMER DISPUTE
An employee at BP, 1900 block of Willow Road, reported at 10:28 p.m. Sept. 15, someone attempted to purchase an alcoholic beverage. Complainant requested that the person produce identification to prove their age. The person was found to not be of legal age to purchase the item and engaged in a verbal dispute with the complainant until officers arrived. The person left the area without incident.
