A Chicago man is recovering at Evanston Hospital following a serious motorcycle accident in Northfield Sunday morning.Mark Steffan, 50 suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive after hitting the curb and falling off his motorcycle while turning right at Willow Road and Old Willow/Somerset around 11:35 a.m. - according to police. No other vehicles were involved. An accident reconstruction callout was made following the incident, which resulted in Steffan falling off the bike on the north side of the street. A police spokesperson said witnesses reported seeing Steffan make a lane change before the turn and fall, which occurred just east of Sunset Ridge Road. Northfield police photo
