Maple School Performs 'Annie' With Cameos From Administrators

Principal Nate Carter appeared as FDR and Assistant Principal Betty Holzopf portrayed Annie's dog in the recent middle school production.

From District 30: Even without the traditional unruly, curly red hair, student Maya Fliegler played a very convincing orphan Annie, in the recent production of the classic story of "Annie" at Maple School.

Her voice was strong, sweet, and soulful, especially when she sang "Tomorrow." All of the 22 actors in this musical were excellent in their roles, and truly captured the essence of the tale of a young girl's adventure's in finding a family to take care of her "forever."

There was Alex McGarry as the tyrannical Ms. Hannigan, who runs the orphanage where Annie resides with other children who have no parents/guardians.
