Maple School Sixth-Grader is Winner of Geography Bee

Maple School sixth-grader Billy Considine is the winner of the annual Geography Bee, which was held on January 22 at Maple School.

Maple School sixth-grader Billy Considine is the winner of the annual Geography Bee, which was held on January 22 at Maple School. Second-place went to sixth-grader Ethan Fink. Third-place went to eighth-grader Alex Burstein. Teachers who coordinated this activity were Mary Norquist, Mario Gurgone, and April Lobo.
The National Geographic GeoBee is an annual competition designed to inspire and reward students' curiosity about the world. Registered schools received a suite of curated study resources to prepare students and 400+ GeoBee questions covering geography, civilizations, cultures, physical features, and more to hold a school GeoBee. The academic competition is open to students in grades four through eight, in public schools, private schools, and homeschools in the United States and its territories, as well as the Department of Defense Dependents Schools.
