Hundreds worth of scrap metal stolen from lot on Shermer Road.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
THEFT
The complainant reported that offenders driving an older dark colored pick-up truck drove onto their rear lot in the 3000 block of Shermer Road and removed about $300 worth of scrap metal sometime before April 12.

BURGLARY
The victim reported that he returned home in the 1600 block of Voltz Ct. from work to find his door standing open at 4:27 p.m. on April 10. The offenders had entered the residence by forcing the front door open. The property stolen from the residence included three handguns, currency, a laptop computer and a Rolex watch.

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE
Jeffrey R. Ceaser, 60, Kenilworth was stopped at Willow Road and Ravine Way at 11:23 a.m. on April 11 and charged with unlawful use of vehicle registration, no valid registration and driving while license suspended. Officers stopped the defendant’s vehicle because the vehicle registration did not match the vehicle being driven. Officers learned that the defendant’s Illinois driver’s license was suspended.
SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE/WARRANT ARREST
Karen L. Wiedersberg, 55, Wheeling was stopped in the 1600 block of Dundee Road at 2:30 p.m. on April 11 and charged with failure to properly secure child, driving while license suspended and a warrant out of Wheeling. Officers stopped the defendant’s vehicle for a traffic violation when officers observed a small child behind passenger seat not wearing a seat belt. Officers learned that the driver’s Illinois driver’s license was suspended and that she had an active warrant for DWLS issued by Wheeling PD.
THEFT
A victim in the 2300 block of Shermer Road reported that she had a pair of Hunter Boots stolen from the girls swim locker room some time between 2-4:30 p.m. on April 9. The boots are valued at approximately $140.
