More Than $12K In Equipment Stolen From Northbrook Business: Cops
iPhone worth $700 reported stolen on Pfingsten Road.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
SOLICITOR COMPLAINT
Officers responded to a complaint of a person soliciting without a village permit at Church St. and Illinois Rd. at 4:14 p.m. on June 11. Officers located the defendant, Ralph Monroe III, 23, Oak Park, and verified that he had not obtained a permit and issued him a local ordinance citation.

SUSPENDED REGISTRATION AND DRIVER’S LICENSE
Melvin Blackwell IV, 20, Palatine was stopped at Sanders Road and Exeter Lane at 5:22 p.m. on June 11 and cited for suspended registration (non-insurance), uninsured vehicle, disobeyed traffic control device and suspended driver’s license.

THEFT
A victim in the 1700 block of Pfingsten Rd. reported her daughter left her iPhone 6 in the locker room of the facility on June 10 around 8:30 a.m.. Later in the day they returned to see if anyone had turned in the iphone to the reception desk but it had not been returned. The phone has an estimated value of $700.
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED
George Jude Theccandat, 54, Wooddale was stopped at Willow Road and Salceda at 9:26 p.m. on June 14 and charged with driving while license suspended and a no turn on red violation.
BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
The business owner in the 3100 block of Doolittle reported that sometime over the weekend offenders broke into two enclosed trailers parked in the northeast corner of the rear parking lot sometime before 7:21 a.m. on June 15. The victim reported that tools and equipment were stolen from both. The victim estimated the loss at $12,350.
SUSPENDED DL
Gustavo I. Miranda, 26, Wheeling was stopped at Willow and Shermer roads at 1:50 a.m. on June 16 and charged with driving while license suspended and a no turn on red violation.
RETAIL THEFT
Jessica Davila, 21 and Nancy Sanchez, 34, both of the same Waukegan residence, were arrested on retail theft charges at 4:32 p.m. on June 16 in the 1400 block of Lake Cook Road.
The store security personnel reported that he observed the above subjects enter a fitting room with merchandise in their hands but leave the room without the merchandise. In checking the fitting room the merchandise was not there. He stopped the offenders after they left the store and discovered $89.34 in merchandise with Davila and $97.00 in merchandise with Sanchez that neither had paid for prior to leaving the store.
RETAIL THEFT
A white man described as in his 30s, thin build, dark hair and wearing a long grey shirt is reported to have exited a store in the 800 block of Willow Road at 6:33 p.m. on June 16 activating sensor alarms. In checking store video, officers discovered the man had removed a FITBIT wristband from a display counter and exited the store without paying. The value of the merchandise was $249.
DECEPTIVE PRACTICE
The complainant in the 1700 block of Lake Cook Road reported the company accepted two personal checks totaling $602.26 for merchandise purchased at the store at 10:48 a.m. on June 18. The checks were later returned by the bank marked Account Closed. Officers are investigating.
