The Morgan family of Northbrook had the winning ticket drawn at Northbrook Farmers Market Customer Appreciation Day Aug. 7. The basket contains all kinds of good foods donated by vendors who wish to say thanks for your support of the market!

In addition to the drawing, shoppers enjoyed free lemonade and popcorn, free face-painting, free music, free secure document shredding and more. Safe to say a good time was had by all.

Held in conjunction with National Farmers Market Week, Aug. 4 to 10, the event was hosted by Friends of the Market (Onion Heads), with assistance from local Girl Scout Troop 42016.
The nonprofit, all-volunteer-run Northbrook Farmers Market is one of more than 8,600 farmers markets nationwide that bring value to their communities in a myriad of ways.
The market is open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at Cherry Lane and Meadow Road.
