New Exhibit by Laura Coyle Opens at NSYMCA Community Gallery
Free art reception to be held at the NSYMCA on Sunday, May 14
Northbrook, IL: May 2023 – North Suburban YMCA’s Community Gallery is showcasing local artist Laura Coyle throughout the month of May.
Artist Laura Coyle received a BFA in painting at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and continued her education in etching, printing and more. One of her proud moments in the arts was being selected as lead painter on a mural project that connected Andersonville and Bowmanville neighborhoods in 2011. Coyle is also part of many organizations including the Chicago Artist Coalition (CAC), The Art Institute of Chicago, MAC & Mexican Art Center.
The NSYMCA will host Coyle’s Art Reception on Sunday, May 14th from 1 pm – 4 pm at the NSYMCA located at 2705 Techny Road in Northbrook. There will be light refreshment and the work featured will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Visual Arts department of the NSYMCA.

The NSYMCA’s Community Gallery celebrates the diversely talented artists living and working in Chicago’s northern suburbs with monthly exhibits that are free and open to the public.
