New Principal Hired At Glenbrook North High School
Amanda Hughes currently serves as the assistant principal for buildings and grounds and activity director at Fremd.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Glenbrook North High School will soon have a new principal. Amanda Hughes, who currently serves as the assistant principal for buildings and grounds and activity director at Fremd, was approved for the position at Monday's District 225 Board of Education meeting.
According to the district, Hughes was chosen from a pool of eight candidates interviewed in four rounds beginning in December 2023 and concluding on January 10. She will formally begin her tenure in the district on July 1, 2024.

In her role at Fremd, Hughes is responsible for school-wide professional development, facilities management, activities supervision and budget management.

Hughes will take over for co-principals Steve Bild and Marina Scott, who have been serving on an interim basis following the departure of former principal Jason Markey last year.
"I can't wait to start meeting our students, families and staff over these next few months and to learn about GBN's traditions and hopes for our students," Hughes said.
