North Suburban YMCA Receives New Honors in 2020 “Best Of” Awards
The Y wins in Art Instruction & Coding Class Categories
The North Suburban YMCA received “Best Of” recognition in the 2020 Better Awards in the categories of Art Instruction and Coding Class. Announced by Better Magazine on September 17, the awards are determined by votes by readers.
In April, the North Suburban YMCA also received 10 North Shore Choice Awards, presented by 22nd Century Media. The Y received 10 first place awards including: Best Camp, Sports Camp, Art Studio, Kids Birthday Party Venue, Bar and Bat Mitzvah Venue, Dance Studio, Fitness Center/ Gym, Personal Trainer, Swim School, and Yoga Classes.
“We are thrilled to win awards in two categories that highlight how the Y is so much more than a gym,” commented NSYMCA CEO Kathy Fielding. “Our Visual Arts Program offers outstanding art classes for every age from preschool up to adult. Our Coding classes are part of our SmartLab digital media and S.T.E.A.M. program for elementary school kids.”

Registration for the next session of Art Classes and Coding Classes is open now for Y members; opening for nonmembers on October 5th. The Fall 2 Session begins on October 26th. A full list of classes offered at North Suburban YMCA is available at www.nsymca.org.
