Northbrook Bank Robbed At Gunpoint
A gunman entered the Fifth Third Bank Saturday afternoon and committed a takeover robbery, the FBI says.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The FBI is seeking information about a bank robbery in Northbrook Saturday afternoon. Shortly before 2 p.m. a man entered the Fifth Third Bank at 240 N. Skokie Blvd., according to the FBI. He brandished a silver handgun and fled south in a vehicle from the location, between Lake Cook Road and the Edens Spur.
The robber was wearing a black Chicago Bulls baseball cap, a black bandana over his face, sunglasses and black clothing. He was described as a 5 feet 7 inches tall Hispanic man with a thin build and a light complexion.
The FBI considers it a takeover bank robbery. Typically, only about 4-6 percent of bank robberies in the area were classified as takeover robberies, where a robber displays a weapon and threatens staff and customers and everyone in the bank knows it's being robbed.
