Northbrook Blotter: Retail Theft, Burglary, Criminal Damage
Home on Greenwood was burglarized on St. Patrick's Day.
The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
BURGLARY
A victim who lives in the 2700 block of Greenwood reported at 5:04 p.m. on March 17 he returned home from work at 5 p.m. and discovered his residence burglarized. He found the lock broken on a rear sliding door as the possible point of entry into the home. The victim believes that a coin collection was missing from his bedroom. The victim will supply a more detail list at a later time. Officers are investigating.

IDENTITY THEFT
A complainant reported at 11:52 a.m. on March 17 discovering that offenders purchased items on Amazon utilizing his credit card information. He reported that he never made the purchase nor did the packages arrive at his residence. The victim will contact Amazon regarding the transaction.

WARRANT ARREST
Ricardo R. Gonzalez, 28, Chicago was stopped at Dundee and Shermer roads at 10:06 p.m. on March 12 and arrested for a Cook County BFW warrant for battery. The defendant’s vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. In checking the status of the defendant’s driver’s license officers learned that the defendant had an outstanding BFW warrant issued by the Cook County Sheriff.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A complainant in the 4100 block of Dundee Rd. reported offenders broke a 3ft. x 10 ft. window. This occurred some time between March 13 and 16. The complainant reported the damage would cost $2000.00 to repair.
THEFT
A victim reported losing his wallet in the 2300 block of Shermer Rd. on March 16. The wallet was later found and returned, minus $125.
