Northbrook Blotter: Suspended DL, Burglary to Vehicle, Theft

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE

Wendy R. Gastelum, 24, North Chicago was charged with failure to yield turning left, no insurance and driving while license suspended following an auto accident in the 3900 block of Dundee Rd. While investigating the crash officers learned the defendant’s driver’s license was suspended by the Secretary of State.

BURGLARY TO VEHICLE

A victim related at 2:15 p.m. on April 4 in the 4100 block of Dundee Rd. offenders stole his Samsung Galaxy Note II from his vehicle that was parked in the parking lot while he was shopping. The victim related that left the phone in the car to charge and he did not remember if he had locked his vehicle.

THEFT

The complainant reported on April 1 in the 200 block of Skokie Blvd. that a subject had purchased three IPhones using an existing account on which he was not an authorized account holder. When the victim was contacted by the phone service he related he did not make the purchase. The total amount for the three phones was $2,549.97.

BURGLARY TO VEHICLE

The victim reported that offenders smashed the victim’s driver side window and removed her newly purchased Apple desktop computer some time between 4:30 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. on April 8. The approximate cost to replace the computer is $1099.
