Northbrook Days Festival Raises $75K For Scholarships, Local Grants
The Northbrook Civic Foundation's annual fundraiser was held in August.

NORTHBROOK, IL — With plans for the next Northbrook Days Festival already being discussed, organizers are excited to announce that $75,000 was raised for college scholarships and local community grants during the most recent edition in August.
"I am so proud of our volunteer committee," Matt Settler, chairman of Northbrook Days, told Patch. "We have had to overcome a lot of different obstacles over the past several years. It doesn’t matter what it’s been, each member gives it their all. With our efforts, we will once again be giving out scholarships and grants to very deserving individuals."
For the second year, the five-day festival was held in downtown Northbrook, at the west lot of the Metra train station. Organizers said that despite extremely hot weather on the last day, the longtime festival was a financial success, drawing large crowds each day.
