Northbrook Days Festival Turns 100 This Summer
The five-day festival, run entirely by volunteers, is set to begin on July 31 in Northbrook.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Annually, the Northbrook Days Festival is an important part of summer for local residents, but this year's event has a truly special feeling. The five-day festival, beginning July 31, will be the 100th anniversary of the event.
Part of the Northbrook Civic Organization, the Northbrook Days Festival is put together entirely by volunteers. It is the NCO's sole fundraising event of the year, according to the festival's website. The NCO funds need-based college scholarships for Northbrook students and grans for organizations that serve the community. The festival has raised more than $3 million since 1950.
This year's festival, which runs through Aug. 4, will include carnival rides, food and drink, live music, family fun and much more. Northbrook Days is held in the West Metra Commuter Lot of the Northbrook Train Station.
