Northbrook Days Raises $90K For Scholarships, Community Grants

The annual August festival recently celebrated its 99th year.

NORTHBROOK, IL — With the Northbrook Days Festival nearing 100 years in 2024, this year's edition was another success. The August festival is run by the Northbrook Civic Foundation, serving as its annual fundraiser.

For the recent 99th edition, Northbrook Days organizers said $90,000 was raised for college scholarships and local community grants.

"Another year with exceptional volunteers. Through hard work and dedication, we had a safe event and decent weather to allow us to reach our goals and give back money to the Northbrook community," said Matt Settler, chairman of Northbrook Days. "We look forward to continuing our tradition and are excited for the 100th year of Northbrook Days in 2024."

This year's festival included live entertainment daily, festival fare, community and sponsor booths, as well as carnival rides. The event also featured the popular Special Friends Morning. The entire event is run by volunteers.

The Northbrook Civic Foundation thanked the community, festival sponsors, Village of Northbrook, police, fire and the Northbrook Park District for their assistance.
