Northbrook District 28 Board Seeking Applicants for Vacant Seat
Board member Shweta Jinkala, who is moving out of state, has resigned.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The Northbrook District 28 Board of Education is seeking applications to fill a vacancy left by the resignation of Shweta Jinkala, who is moving out of state.
The board will appoint someone to fill her seat within 60 days, according to a news release. The appointee will serve until the next general election, in April 2023, at which time the seat will be up for election to a two-year term.
Only District 28 residents are eligible to apply. Submit a resume, cover letter and application to Tracy Katz Muhl, Board President by 5 p.m. Jan. 20.

Finalist interviews will be conducted in closed session at the board’s Jan. 25 meeting. The board intends to appoint a new member at its Feb. 22 meeting.
