Northbrook Election Results 2011
School District 31's tax referendum appears to have failed; incumbents re-elected in District 30.
With 10 of 10 precincts reporting as of 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, it looks like District 31's referendum to increase taxes failed by a wide margin.
Meanwhile, incumbents Chuck Gitles, Yasmeen Bilimoria, James M. Bream and Scott Margolin have the lion's share of the vote in District 30 with 16 of 16 precincts reporting. The race for four seats on the board of education also included newcomer candidate John S. Smith, who appeared to have lost to the incumbents in unofficial results from the Cook County Clerk's office.
Other races in Northbrook--for village board, library board, park district board and the boards of education in school districts 27, 28 and 31--were uncontested.
